The work was prepared at the State Museum of the History of Religion, but published after the death of the author. It was compiled on the basis of his working materials stored in the archive of the State Museum of History of Religion. Those notes were not designed for publication by the researcher himself. The brochure is a kind of calendar containing information about ecclesiastic festivities in their connection with the national agricultural annual cycle. The main source of the notes was pre-revolutionary ethnographic literature. Those materials were used by N. at his lectures on the ‘old daily calendar’. The value of the publication is not so much scholarly as memorial. This is a tribute to the memory of the colleague who was repressed and returned to work at the GMIR decades after his arrest.
