It is a short (less than fifty pages) anthology with the most complete collection of texts (at least, for the time of publication and according to the author’s intentions) about the Christianization of Georgia. It is started with a short introduction, followed by texts by Rufinus, Greek ecclesiastic historians (Socrates of Constantinople/ Scholasticus, Sozomen, Theodoret, Theophanes), Baronius, Armenian and Georgian authors, as well as extensive material from hagiographic texts about St. Nino; and the book is finished with a discussion on them. A certain lack of performance should be seen in the fact that the text by Rufinus is given in Latin without translation, the texts by Greek authors are in old Russian translations without their original versions, the text in Georgian graphics is not accompanied with a translation, and the hagiographic texts published in Georgian, as far as it is possible to judge, not so much translated into Russian as explained approximately.
